The concept of the festival is that each section of the city has a float, they begin with drum performances in front of the floats after which snacks are tossed from the floats before they depart along the parade route. Throughout these events large amounts of confetti are tossed into the crowds.The floats are human powered, with large groups of people including small children helping out.
