Along with my cafeteria bento I received a pack of sweets yesterday in honor of Hina Matsuri, Girl's Day or Doll Festival. I knew that the festival was coming up but I didn’t realize it was today. For my Birthday Y and N gave me a set of hina-ningyo, the dolls that are displayed through Hina Matsuri, but never past March 3rd because this could create a curse where a girl wouldn’t be married.
My dolls are miniature, a real set contains seven tiers of dolls and accessories and costs several thousand dollars.
