Back in college collecting methane from a pig farm was one of the projects for senior design. The farm wanted to collect, compress and store the gas so they could burn it in winter to keep the pigs warm. It wasn't feasible, because it would have trapped too much methane in the building and killed the pigs.
They ended up putting in catalyst tanks and using the manure to make methane to burn. Some dairy farms do the same thing.
What is ICT? Inter Company Transfer - my 12 month assignment as an engineer, at an automotive supplier, in Nagoya, Japan during 2008-2009. Since returning to Michigan my blog is a random assortment of what I'm up to, usually home improvements, cooking, or travel.
