Japanese Wedding Party

Saturday night was my adviser W's wedding party. Since he was marrying another company employee the party was almost entirely comprised of company members which made it fun.The event revolved around cocktails and taking photos. Upon entering everyone had an individual Polaroid taken, on the back we were requested to write a message to the couple. After an opening toast the party commenced with groups of people taking photos with W and T. This was only interrupted by the bride being forced to cook an omelet in the restaurant kitchen and a game of Bingo. Out of approximately 80 people, I was the lucky first winner at Bingo. The prizes were all wrapped with the top prize being a Nintendo DS. I picked out a yoga ball, but traded it with a guy who had his eye on it for a USB powered fan. In addition to the fan I also came home with a package of shortbread cookies and chopsticks. The 寿 chopsticks, to be used on special occasions, were a special gift for me for being a foreigner.
